Raquel Bosustow

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice powder
  • 2 tbsp tamari
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice

To serve:

  • chilli sauce
  • lemon juice
  • peanuts

Instructions

  • Place a large frypan on the stove/medium heat. Add garlic, chinese 5 spice and the peanut butter. Stir as the peanut butter starts to melt.
  • Slowly add coconut cream and tamari. Turn down the heat to avoid burning the sauce. Once combined add the lime juice and maple syrup.
  • You can choose the thickness of the sauce by adding more peanut butter or more coconut cream.
  • Serve over chicken skewers, tofu, or beef strips - always add extra nuts on top, a squeeze of lemon and a hint of chilli!
