Gluten Free Chinese Sticky Honey Chicken

Happiness! The gluten free version of a traditional chinese dish usually dripping with gluten!

Serves 4

Ingredients
 

  • 500 grams Chicken Thigh: , Diced into bite size pieces
  • 1 cup GF Corn Flour
  • 2 tbsp Garlic & Chilli: , Diced
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/2 cup GF Tamari
  • 1 cup Sesame Oil:, 1/2 for cooking the chicken and 1/2 for the sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
  • To finish: Fresh coriander

Instructions
 

  • Toss chicken pieces in cornflour until fully coated.
  • Drizzle sesame oil to coat a large frypan over medium-high heat. Add chicken (in batches if needed) and fry until golden and cooked through (about 4–5 min). Transfer to a plate.
  • In the same frypan, sauté garlic and chilli for ~30 sec until fragrant.
  • Stir in tamari, honey and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened around 2 minutes
  • Return chicken to the pan. Toss to coat evenly with the sticky sauce. Let cook together for another minute.... enjoy watching this all come together!
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and tuck in!
