Gluten Free Pretzels

Here you go! Ir's time to embrace gluten free baking with an old favourite from Germany.

Serves 4

Ingredients
 

  • 1.5 cups Gluten Free Flour with Xanthan Gum: , Or if easier a gluten free bread mixture will work just as nicely
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder:
  • 3/4 cup Greek Yoghurt:
  • 1 tbsp Baking Soda:
  • Coase salt or Sea Salt : Completion!

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add yogurt and stir until a dough forms. Knead gently on a floured surface until smooth.
  • Divide dough into 4–6 pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape into a pretzel.
  • In a large pot, bring water and baking soda to a boil. Boil each pretzel for about 30 seconds, then remove with a slotted spoon and place on the baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle pretzels with coarse salt and brush with melted butter if desired.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
