Gluten Free Sausage, Mash and Gravy Pie
Raquel Bosustow
Gluten Free Sausage, Mash & Gravy Pie is very Austalian! For our friends in Europe and USA, this another word for Sausages!
Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Cook Time 20 minutes mins
Serves 6
- 1kg Sausages, Pork or Beef
- 1 White Onion, Sliced
- 3 cloves Garlic, diced
- 2 tbsp Dried Rosemary
- 2 tbsp Wholegrain mustard
- 5 tbsp GF Gravy, store bought
- 2 tbsp GF Cornflour, Mixed into 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup Frozen Peas
- 5 large White Potato, no need to peel, chopped to boil
- 1 cup Grated Cheese, Mozzerella or Cheddar
Let's get cooking! In a large frypan, add a knob of butter, sliced onions, garlic and rosemary. Cook for a few minutes to brown the onions and develop the flavours.
Add the sausages. Depending on the size, I have cut them in half for easy serving at the end. Mix and cook until sausages are brown.
Then add the GF Gravy, the peas and the GF Cornflour Water Mix. Watch the magic happen, the sauce will come together beautifully. Add a little more water if you feel like the sauce is becoming too thick
Meanwhile, boil potatoes until soft. Mash! Add 1/4 cup milk and salt/pepper
In a baking dish, place the sausage mixture evenly and then top with the mash potato. Add shredded cheese. Bake for 15 mins/180c until the cheese is melted
Serve with a Green Salad or Green Beans or Just on its own!
