Gluten Free Chinese Crispy Beef

Gluten Free Chinese Crispy Beef is the dish that you will keep going back for more and more. The fresh Asian flavours are simple yet powerful in flavour and so easy to make! Enjoy!

Chinese food is a cuisine that is tricky to adjust in a restaurant for gluten free foodies. However, at home, its easy! I have worked on the ingredients and reduced the sugar content (holy moly there is a lot of sugar in chinese). My first dish of the day is Gluten Free Chinese Crispy Beef. All of my Chinese recipes take no more than 15 minutes to make. I served Gluten Free Singapore Noodles and Gluten Free Sweet n Sour Pork as a Chinese Banquet for dinner. A huge hit for all the family! And the non-gluten free foodies could not tell the difference!

Gluten Free Chinese Crispy Beef is the dish that you will keep going back for more and more. Served with Basmati rice to soak up the delicious saucey flavours that instantly transfer your taste buds to Asia!

Ingredients

  • BEEF STRIPS : As thin as possible from your butcher or supermarket
  • RED ONION: Sliced and great colour!
  • GARLIC: Always!!
  • TAMARI: The ingredient with the most important job
  • CHILLI FLAKES: Even if you are not keen on the spice, just a little takes the flavours to the next level
  • CORN FLOUR: Its the glue to ensure the sauce covers the beef
  • FREE RANGE EGGS: Always!
  • SHALLOTS: Love the colour
  • RAW SUGAR: Keeping it clean with no refined white sugar
  • SESAME SEEDS: Small but very necessary!
  • BRUSSELL SPROUTS: For a different green veg or you can add green beans, baby spinach or zucchini
  • To Serve – Fluffy Basmati Rice

Instructions

  1. Let’s get cooking! Place your beef strips into a bowl and add the cornflour and beaten egg. Season with salt and pepper. Toss with your hands until completely covered. At this point, you can choose to cook them in the Airfryer for 15 mins on 180c or pan fry in sesame oil until brown and crispy – your choice! If you choose the Airfryer, check the meat every 5 minutes and toss around to ensure all meat is evenly cooked
  2. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, add onion, garlic, shallots, sugar, tamari, chilli and any greens you have chosen for this dish. Stir on a medium heat to combine and thicken. YUM!
  3. Thats it!
  4. To serve – fluffy white rice.
