Easy Gluten Free Pizza Base

Bring the family together on a Friday night for easy gluten free pizzas

Easy Gluten Free Pizza Base is my go to for Friday nights! Easy to make and easy create! Its messy, therapeutic and insanely delicious. By throwing together a couple of staple ingredients, you can save money by making your own pizza bases and enjoy watching from the beginning right through to the end. I love to set up a buffet of toppings for my family to create their own pizzas and always hide back up cheese in the fridge, as there never seems to be enough!

Italians keep their toppings to a minimum to enjoy the flavours. However, you do you! Pile it on. Create the magic. Enjoy the time with your family around the fire.

Ingredients

  • GF Self Raising Flour: No need to sift
  • BAKING POWDER: This always gluten free and you will find this in the flour aisle at the supermarket
  • OLIVE OIL: Always
  • APPLE CIDER VINGEAR: Just a dash

Instructions

Let’s get cooking!

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 200c and line a baking sheet or pizza stone with baking paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir well to ensure they are mixed evenly.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Add the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and warm water to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but manageable.
  4. Shape the Dough: Place the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Using your hands or a rolling pin, spread it out into your desired pizza shape and thickness. You can wet your hands slightly to prevent sticking.
  5. Pre-bake the Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until it starts to turn golden.
  6. Add Toppings: Remove the crust from the oven and add your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  7. Final Bake: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and enjoy your gluten-free pizza!

What topping would you serve on the buffet?

Salami. Pepperoni, Ham. Bacon. Mushroom. Capsicum, Olives, Rocket, Baby Spinach, Onion, Garlic, Pizza Sauce, Pesto, Mozzarella

Do I always need to use mozzarella or can I choose another cheese ?

Is the Pope catholic? Hahaha…. only mozzarella

Can I add chili?

Absolutely!
