Gluten Free Bangers & Mash Pie. How can this simple dish be so amazing? I actually thought the same as i was creating the magic. I know when a recipe is outstanding, when I cant stop tasting the evolvement of flavours whilst cooking and when I stand back at the end in amazement.

Gluten Free Sausages, Mash and Gravy Pie is not your standard Bangers & Mash. Somehow serving it as a pie brings together all the traditional ingredients with a big hug of comfort.
Why I Love This Recipe
I love this recipe because the flavours are homely, comforting and full winter vibes. Although, I will be cooking this all year round!
Ingredients
GOOD QUALITY SAUSAGES: Pork or Beef or Veal – or a combination
WHITE ONIONS: Caramelised and delicious
GARLIC: Of course!
DRIED ROSEMARY: The perfect herb to bring this dish together with a rustic flavour
WHOLEGRAIN MUSTARD: YUM!
GLUTEN FREE GRAVY: Store bought
GLUTEN FREE CORN FLOUR: To thicken all the beautiful flavours
FROZEN PEAS: A staple in every household
WHITE POTATO: I never peel my potatoes – the fibre is in the skin and it all mashes into mash. Saves you time!
GRATED CHEESE: To finish off before baking
TO SERVE: Bowls are not big enough, plates all the way!
Instructions
Let’s get cooking! In a large frypan, add a knob of butter, sliced onions, garlic and rosemary. Cook for a few minutes to brown the onions and develop the flavours.
Add the sausages. Depending on the size, I have cut them in half for easy serving at the end. Mix and cook until sausages are brown.
Then add the GF Gravy, the peas and the GF Cornflour Water Mix. Watch the magic happen, the sauce will come together beautifully. Add a little more water if you feel like the sauce is becoming too thick
Meanwhile, boil potatoes until soft. Mash! Add 1/4 cup milk and salt/pepper
In a baking dish, place the sausage mixture evenly and then top with the mash potato. Add shredded cheese. Bake for 15 mins/180c until the cheese is melted
Serve with a Green Salad or Green Beans or Just on its own!
Can I make this in advance
Yes, you can!
Can I add other vegetables?
Of course, you can add any vegetables at the time of cooking the sausages
Can I freeze the Pie?
Yes, you can! This sort of dish is great for batch cooking, so go for it!
