Gluten Free 2 Ingredient Flat Bread is the most easiest, rewarding, tasty bread you will ever make! My kids loves these with any meal such as a curry, saucy stews, pasta. The non gluten free peeps love them as much as us.
I teach this quick Gluten Free 2 Ingredient Flat Bread in my cooking classes and the ladies always take delight with playing and creating with the dough, then watching how easy the few steps are the create bread. To be honest, they are delicious just cooked, so if you are going to make them for a dinner or lunch, leave this to the last minute and serve them piping hot from the pan with a pinch of salt.
I always use Gluten Free Self Raising Flour as I seem to have this in the cupboard all the time, but you can use just normal flour as well, if you are not gluten free!
Why I Love This Recipe
I love this recipe because any type of bread freshly made is delicious and addictive. Being gluten free does not mean we miss out!
Ingredients
Fresh! Fresh! Fresh!
GLUTEN FREE SELF RAISING FLOUR: Any brand you can find in the store
GREEK YOGHURT: I love the creaminess of this yoghurt
Instructions
Let’s get cooking!
In a large bowl, add the flour and yoghurt. Start to mix with a spoon to combine, then get your hands in there to create the dough. Add a pinch of salt. Add more flour if the mixture is too sticky, the dough should come together nicely and easy to roll
Then create small balls, like the size of an egg. Place them on a dusted flour surface.
Heat a frypan on a medium heat and drizzle with olive oil. Once the pan is heated, place 2 or 3 balls in your frypan and press down to create the flat bread
Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and repeat. Add a sprinkle of salt on each side. Add more olive oil if the pan becomes dry
Place on a plate to serve or pop in the oven on a low heat to keep them warm. Enjoy!
Can I make the dough and freeze for later?
Great idea! You could also make the dough and place it in the fridge for 2-3 days. Just add a dust of flour before cooking
