Gluten Free Italian Sausage Ragu is one of those dishes that will help you ease into a cold winter, I love to cook hearty meals to feed my family. Its so simple to create and even easier to eat! I love the sauce bubbling away with the sausages naturally bringing the flavour together. I cook this at least once a week for my kids, who will eat this pasta cold from the fridge.
With just 5 ingredients, you have no excuse not to cook this family friendly gluten free dish. You can choose any sausages you like, however, I would recommend cooking with italian or pork sausages for the right flavour. A dash of red wine will enrich the sauce to the next level and a handful of parmesan will create a taste of italy!
Enjoy this cheats meal!

Meanwhile, heat a large frypan or saucepan with a dash of olive oil. Fry the onion, sausages and garlic until the sausages are slightly brown
Then add the passata and dried herbs, along with the red wine. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to the boil, then simmer.
Cook for a minimum of 20 minutes to allow the flavours to develop into an italian heavenly sauce!
Drain the pasta and add to your sauce. Toss through and season. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese
Can I add veggies to the pasta sauce?
Of course! Throw whatever you have in for extra fibre and flavour.
Do I need to cook the sausages before I add them to the sauce ?
No need. I love to cook them fresh to allow the flavours to develop in the sauce.
