Gluten Free Chinese Sticky Honey Chicken is the dish we all crave at the Chinese Restaurant that is dripping with gluten! This motivated me to create my own recipe for all the family to enjoy. There are many benefits making your own version eliminating the MSG and preservatives, along with the gluten. My version is much lighter and delicious, if I do say so myself!

Ingredients
- Chicken Thigh: Diced into bite size pieces

- Gluten Free Cornflour: The magic glue of the dish

Gluten Free Chinese Honey Chicken will make you happy on the inside! A healthy version of an old favourite!
Instructions

- Toss chicken pieces in cornflour until fully coated.
- Drizzle sesame oil to coat a large frypan over medium-high heat. Add chicken (in batches if needed) and fry until golden and cooked through (about 4–5 min). Transfer to a plate.
- In the same frypan, sauté garlic and chilli for ~30 sec until fragrant.
- Stir in tamari, honey and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened around 2 minutes
- Return chicken to the pan. Toss to coat evenly with the sticky sauce. Let cook together for another minute…. enjoy watching this all come together!
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and tuck in!
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I choose another type of oil?
For this dish, I highly recommend sesame oil, not only for the flavour but for the high heat when pan frying.
Can I add chinese 5 spice?
Great idea! It will a touch of spice with all of the 5 spices
Can I add veggies?
Definitely! I would pan fry the veggies separately then toss them together with the chicken once it’s cooked. Carrot, capsicum, zucchini, broccoli are great options!

- 1 cup GF Corn Flour
- 2 tbsp Garlic & Chilli: , Diced
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1/2 cup GF Tamari
