GF Cheeseburger Tortillas have changed my life! If you’ve been scrolling Instagram lately, chances are you’ve seen the viral cheeseburger tortillas popping up everywhere and for good reason! They’re quick, delicious, and seriously satisfying. Today, I finally decided to try my own gluten-free version, and I’m honestly wondering why I didn’t do it sooner!

This recipe is incredibly simple to throw together, and it was a hit with the whole family, my boys and husband were full and happy, which is always a win. The real game-changer? Finding soft, gluten-free wraps that don’t crack when rolled or cooked. They make all the difference in creating that perfect wrap that holds together just like the classic version.

Loaded with fresh toppings like lettuce, tomato, pickles, avocado, caramelised onions, and a juicy beef patty, this meal is layered with flavour and texture. I finished it off with a gluten-free burger sauce (store-bought this time — no shame in shortcuts!) and it brought everything together beautifully.

Whether you’re gluten-free or just looking for a fun new twist on burger night, this recipe is one to keep on repeat.

Ingredients

Let’s make this!

  • GF Wraps/Tortillas: Find the brand that does not crack. There are plenty available. I love Old El Paso, they are soft and deliciously crunchy when pan fried
  • Beef and Pork Mince: I love the blend of the two meats to bring the flavour to the dish. I simply bought 500g of each and mixed it in a bowl
  • Harvati Cheese: Any cheese will be delicious, however, Harvati Sliced Cheese is just a little different with impactful flavour – similar to Swiss Cheese
  • Lettuce: Iceburg or Cos Lettuce is key, adds the crunch and extra texture in each bite
  • Tomato & Avocado: Sliced
  • Pickles: I love pickles, you can omit if you are not a fan
  • Caramelised Onions: Or raw onion, whatever you fancy
  • Hamburger Sauce: You can make your own, however, I cheated and bought mine from the supermarket.

Instructions

.

  1. In a bowl, mix the beef and pork mince to combine.
  2. Preheat a frying pan. Spray with oil. Place your first tortilla on the bench and thinly press the meat mixture all over. Then place meat side down in the frypan. Cook for 3 minutes each side – just make sure the meat is cooked through
  3. Meanwhile, create a buffet of goodness! Sliced tomato, avocado, lettuce, pickles and a bowl of caramelised onions.
  4. Start serving… and continue the process of cooking the meat loaded tortillas. You may need two pans going at once to feed everyone. Load the tortilla with goodness and finish with a squeeze of the hamburger sauce. Bliss!
