Gluten Free Burger Buffet

Gluten Free Burger Buffet is the easiest way to serve a family mid week

I love family dinner nights! As a child you don’t realise how important this time is around the table. Then you all of a sudden grow up and life is flying past. I vary our family dinners each week to bring excitement to meal time and this is where my Gluten Free Burger Buffet is always a hit with adults, kids and anyone who wants to join us.

I simply do all the preparation beforehand and start placing the goodness on the main table. I make the burger patties in advance to pop in the oven ready to cook. Depending on numbers, I add a delicious tray of roasted chicken wings and always french fries. You can make your own or in this case, I cheated with frozen fries from the supermarket and cooked in the air fryer.

Take the pressure off cooking mid week. You don’t have to deliver a fancy meal every time. It is about sitting around the table, talking, eating and creating memories – always!

Imagine your family coming home to this! Its so easy! Just copy exactly what I have created and you will have rave reviews!

Ingredients

Source the best gluten free buns! Once you find them, buy in bulk and freeze to always have on hand!

  • BEEF MINCE: You can choose chicken or pork as an alternative
  • OREGANO : Diced
  • SHALLOTS: Diced
  • GF BURGER BUNS: I like to toast the buns to create a softness and crunch
  • TOMATO & LETTUCE: Finely sliced.
  • BEETROOT & GERKINS: Tin version is totally fine!
  • ONIONS: Thinly Sliced
  • SAUCES: Tomato BBQ and Chilli
  • SLICED CHEESE: The first ingredient to always run out!

Instructions

Let’s get cooking! Guess what! There is no cooking!

  1. Let’s make the beef patties first. In a big bowl, add the mince, oregano and shallots. No egg or breadcrumbs required. Roll a handful of mixture in a ball, then press into a patty shape on a lined baking tray
  2. Preheat oven 180c and pop in for 15 -20 minutes until cooked.
  3. Meanwhile, lets organise the table! Slice the tomatoes and lettuce – iceburg, baby spinach and rocket to serve on a large platter.
  4. In bowls, place the beetroot, gherkins and sliced cheese. Add your sauces to the table. Place the buns on a plate
  5. Pan fry the onions with a dash of olive oil. Transfer to a bowl. Pop your airfryer on with the fries! You are ready!
  6. andYou will see in my photo, I included Roasted Chicken Wings – I simply place the chicken wings in a baking tray and drizzled with sweet chilli sauce/tamari and cooked for 20 minutes. Don’t forget the serviettes – I do every time!
