you know i love colour! Turmeric is one of the most amazing spices not only for its vibrancy but the for many health benefits as well. These chicken wings are perfect for a gathering or a late lunch with a salad. No need for forks!
Gluten Free Wings always need turmeric, just remember, Turmeric can be make or break a recipe. If you are too heavy handed, it will taste awful! and yes, this is from experience!


Why I Love This Recipe
I love this recipe because everyone loves a chicken wing! The flavour combo is outstanding and you can always add more chilli! A squeeze of lime compliments the turmeric and tamari. YUM!!!

Ingredients
- FREE RANGE CHICKEN WINGS: I always cook 2kgs of wings as they fly out the door once freshly cooked from the oven
- TURMERIC: Bright in colour. Suttle in taste. Superfood!
- FRESH LIMES: To squeeze over once cooked
- CHILLI SAUCE: To drizzle over once cooked
- TAMARI: The gluten free version of Soy Sauce
- RAW SUGAR: Just a touch for a hint of sweetness
- TO SERVE: Fresh nuts, coriander (cilantro) and chilli! (Optional).

Instructions
- Let’s get cooking! In a large bowl, place the chicken wings and sprinkle with the turmeric, raw sugar and tamari. Mix with your hands! Add salt and pepper
- Place on a lined baking tray into the oven – 180c. Cook for 30 minutes until cooked
- Serve on a platter. Drizzle chilli sauce and fresh lime. Sprinkle fresh shallots.
Tips and Tricks
Can I make this ahead?
Yes you can! Marinate the chicken wings overnight – this will allow the flavours to work their magic
Can I add sesame seeds?
Nice touch! Sprinkle them just before cooking once the wings are on the tray
Can I freeze this dish?
I think they are best cooked fresh and eaten straight away!

- 2 kg Chicken Wings
- 4 tbsp turmeric
- 4 tbsp tamari
- 2 tbsp raw sugar
To Serve – Fresh lime, Chilli Sauce!
